Honestly I was very disappointed by this motherwort. My mother in law always makes our but her motherwort supply was unavailable so I decided to get some from this brand assuming it would be similar if not better. Boy was I wrong. Normally I am sucking back this stuff and feeling instant relief. I also love the flavour of my mothers. However this one is so bitter its honestly hard to swallow and I feel basically none of the calming effects I normally get from my mothers. Safe to say, highly disappointed and I bought 200ml of it... yikes!

Our tinctures are made following traditional extraction methods and are intentionally formulated for potency and effectiveness rather than taste. Motherwort, in particular, is naturally a very bitter plant that’s part of its character as an herb and we don’t add anything to alter its flavor. Our Motherwort tincture is made at 1:4 extract making it quite a strong tincture that we've had great success with and always had positive feedback on!
As for the calming qualities, experiences can also vary from person to person, depending on constitution and sensitivity. Motherwort is a herb that typically needs to be taken for a longer period of time in order to fully feel its effects. Switching from your MIL's formula to ours is something that would likely take a bit of time for your body to adjust to and for the effects to be become clear :)
